Hydrolyzed collagen (CH) is produced by the enzymatic hydrolysis of raw materials from collagen tissues. Collagen is the most common protein in mammals. Its biosynthesis is achieved through a number of intracellular mediators. Typical collagen fibers are generated in the extracellular space, are double crosslinked with covalent bonds and supply collagen with this characteristic elastic force. The action of collagen originates from the normal amino acid sequence, each third amino acid building block, is a glycine molecule followed by proline or hydroxyproline. Unlike other supplements, CH is a natural product with an amino acid composition almost identical to collagen found in the extracellular matrix in the body joints.
