Medela Supplemental Breastfeeding System (SNS) is specially designed for:

weak or premature infants

breastfeeding learning

stimulation of breast milk production

feeding adopted babies with breast milk; or

long-term supplementary feeding

SNS allows breastfeeding in women who could not otherwise breast-feed.

It is placed around the neck and then thin tubes are placed at the top of the nipple.

The infant does not feel the tubes when feeding. Some babies with weak or irregular suction capacity do not get enough nutrients through breastfeeding. In these cases the SNS helps provide supplementary feeding.
